The world has been shaken by the heartbreaking loss of Charlie Kirk, the 31-year-old founder of Turning Point USA and a prominent conservative voice. He was tragically shot during a campus event at Utah Valley University while delivering a speech as part of his “American Comeback Tour.” His death was confirmed later the same day.

Charlie leaves behind his wife, Erika Frantzve, a former Miss Arizona USA turned podcaster and Christian activist, and their two young children: a daughter born in August 2022 and a son born in May 2024. Throughout their marriage, they prioritized protecting their children’s privacy, deliberately keeping their names and images from public view.

The impact of Charlie’s passing reverberated across the nation. Public figures, including President Donald Trump, called for prayers and unity to support his grieving family.

A Prayer for Erika and Their Children

Gracious and Ever-Loving God,

We come before You today with heavy hearts, grieving the sudden loss of Charlie Kirk, taken too soon from this world. In this time of profound sorrow, we lift his beloved wife, Erika, and their precious children—the daughter and son he loved deeply—into Your tender and protective embrace.

Lord, grant Erika strength.
When her heart feels shattered, wrap her in comfort and peace that surpasses all understanding. Let her feel Your presence as a steady and soothing shelter amid the storm.

Watch over their children, O Lord.
They are young, and their world has been deeply altered. Cover them in Your loving care. Grant them moments of peace, spaces where they know they are secure, and the clarity to know they are surrounded by love—both human and divine.

Provide hope and healing.
In the days to come, may memories of Charlie’s love, his faith, his devotion to family and principle, become sources of strength rather than sorrow. May they draw from the legacy he leaves behind—his convictions, his faith, his passion—and find comfort in the knowledge that he lived with purpose and left a mark on many hearts.

Surround them with compassionate community.
May friends, family, and supporters rally around Erika and the children—offering practical supports, listening hearts, and gentle presence. Let not Erika walk alone, but feel upheld at every turn by those who care deeply.

Inspire them with Your grace.
Let faith become their beacon, hope their companion, and Your love their unshakable foundation. Even in the darkest shadows, may they sense the promise of a new dawn.

We offer this prayer in humility and hope, trusting in Your infinite mercy and faithfulness.

Amen.

This tragedy is deeply painful, not only for Erika and the children but for all who cared about him. By offering this prayer, we stand in solidarity with them, asking for divine comfort, protection, and hope during a time when grief is overwhelming.

  1. Your tribute and prayer were very beautiful and touching. I did have one concern though. As a post that labels itself as Catholic, you didn’t pray for Charlie. Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord and let Perpetual Light shine upon him.

  2. Taylor Reed, thank you for putting together such an incredible and beautiful prayer, this brought tears to my eyes.

James Nowak, you make a fair point. Although it’s a prayer for his family, I think it’s necessary that we include Charlie.
Respectfully, I would like to contribute a small addition to the prayer to include and lift up Charlie. I think it would fit very nicely and appropriately, just before the line, “We offer this prayer in humility…”

“Lord, we also lift Charlie into Your eternal care.
Receive him with mercy into Your kingdom of light and peace. May his soul find rest in Your presence, free from pain, sorrow, and struggle. We thank You for the gift of his life—for the ways he loved his family, for his steadfast faith, for his passion and convictions. May his example continue to inspire those who knew him, and may his spirit live on in the hearts of all who were touched by his presence.”

  3. What a Leader You Were, Not Just For Young People But Older Too, You’re In Jesus’s Arm’s Now !!! Amen Amen !!!

  4. To the Family of Charlie Kirk, and to All Who Loved Him

I write this letter with a heart shattered beyond repair. The loss of Charlie Kirk feels like the sun has vanished from the sky, leaving behind a world dimmed by sorrow and silence. I did not know him personally, but I knew his spirit. I felt his fire. And now, I feel the cold void where that fire once burned.

Charlie was not just a man—he was a force. A voice for truth. A warrior for faith. A protector of values that many feared to speak aloud. He stood tall when others trembled. He gave strength to the weak, clarity to the confused, and hope to the hopeless. And now, the world feels unbearably quiet without him.

To his beloved wife: I cannot fathom the depth of your grief. But I want you to know that your husband was loved far beyond the walls of your home. He was a beacon to millions. And the love you shared with him was the foundation of his strength. You gave him the courage to face storms, and now we pray that you find comfort in the legacy he left behind.

To his children: Your father was a giant. Not in stature, but in soul. He walked with conviction, spoke with fire, and lived with purpose. You carry his blood, but more importantly, you carry his light. Never forget that.

To his church, his friends, his followers: We are broken. We are grieving. But we are also grateful. Grateful that we lived in the time of Charlie Kirk. Grateful that we heard his voice. Grateful that we were touched by his mission.

Charlie, I love you. I respect you. I honor you with every fiber of my being. You taught me to be bold. To be brave. To never compromise truth for comfort. Your death has left me in pieces, but your life has stitched courage into my soul.

I cry as I write this. I cry for the man we lost. I cry for the family left behind. I cry for the silence that now fills the space where your voice once rang. But I also cry with gratitude—for the gift of your life, and the legacy you leave behind.

Rest in eternal peace, Charlie. You were a lion among men. And though you are gone, your roar will never be forgotten.

With deepest sorrow and eternal respect,
