A new global streaming platform, CREDO, will officially launch on May 28, offering faith-driven content to viewers worldwide, according to Castletown Media CEO Tim Moriarty. The platform will serve as the exclusive streaming home of ‘Carlo Acutis: Roadmap to Reality,’ the top-grossing faith-based documentary of the year.
Moriarty, who founded Castletown Media, emphasized that CREDO will provide filmmakers a direct channel to reach audiences while earning fair compensation through a la carte rentals without subscription fees. “Catholic audiences shouldn’t have to settle for anything less than artistic excellence,” Moriarty told CNA. “With CREDO, rigorous curation meets state-of-the-art streaming, so families can hit play knowing they’ll experience beautifully crafted, spiritually sound films.”
Following its launch, CREDO will also host Castletown Media’s upcoming project, ‘Leo XIV: A Pontiff’s Path,’ which will trace the journey of the new pope from his Chicago upbringing to his missionary work in Peru and his path to the papacy. “Within hours of his first appearance on the loggia, our cameras were rolling in Rome and Chicago, and this week our team is in Peru, uncovering the experiences that prepared him to shepherd the global Church,” Moriarty said.
The Carlo Acutis documentary, set to be the platform’s flagship title, delves into the life of the young Italian who is on the path to sainthood. The film includes interviews with Acutis’ family, friends, and Catholic leaders, exploring his use of digital media to spread the Gospel. “His story perfectly encapsulates everything CREDO stands for,” Moriarty said, highlighting Acutis as a model for young people navigating the digital landscape.
CREDO content will be available for streaming on computers, mobile devices, and smart TVs, providing a flexible and accessible viewing experience for Catholic families seeking wholesome and faith-affirming content.
