The Two Men Who Helped Build the Church

The Church celebrates Saint Peter and Saint Paul together because their lives reveal the extraordinary ways God works through ordinary people.

Peter was a fisherman. Paul was a scholar.

Peter walked beside Jesus during His public ministry. Paul initially opposed the Church and persecuted Christians.

Yet God transformed both men into fearless witnesses for the Gospel.

Peter became the leader of the Apostles and the first pope. Paul carried the Christian message across the Roman world, helping establish communities of faith that would endure for centuries.

Though they approached ministry differently, they shared one purpose: to bring people to Christ.

Their witness continues to inspire Catholics today. The Church still depends upon strong leadership, faithful teaching, and courageous evangelization.

This is why Catholic Online School exists.

Catholic Online provides free Catholic education, Scripture resources, saint biographies, prayers, and faithful teaching to millions around the world. Through digital evangelization, we help continue the mission entrusted to Peter and Paul.

In honoring these great apostles, we remember that the work of evangelization is never finished.

In honor of Saints Peter and Paul, we invite you to support Catholic Online’s mission with a gift offered in their name.
