‘Angel-Like’ UFO Footage Sparks Debate Among Christians as New Government Videos Surface

A newly released collection of UFO footage has reignited debate among Christians, skeptics, and researchers after several mysterious objects captured by U.S. military systems were compared online to angelic beings and imagery described in Sacred Scripture. According to the Daily Mail, dozens of newly declassified videos were released as part of the federal government’s ongoing disclosure efforts surrounding unidentified aerial phenomena.

Among the most discussed clips was footage reportedly showing a humanoid-shaped object moving through the air with wing-like protrusions extending from its body. Social media users quickly began drawing comparisons to angels described in biblical visions.

“Out of all the newly released files, this one is easily the wildest. The object almost appears humanoid, with visible arms and legs,” one commenter wrote online, according to the Daily Mail. Another person added, “This UFO looks almost like an angel. Pretty amazing video.”

Another video reportedly showed a strange object flying above water while changing shape as military sensors attempted to track it. Some viewers compared the object to the Cherubim described in the Book of Ezekiel — mysterious heavenly beings associated with God’s throne.

The Book of Ezekiel contains vivid prophetic imagery involving “wheels within wheels,” radiant beings, and heavenly movement unlike anything seen on earth. Some Christians online have speculated about similarities between those biblical descriptions and modern UFO reports, though the Catholic Church has not endorsed such interpretations.

According to the Daily Mail, one recent video featured what viewers described as an “eight-pointed star” moving through the darkness with shifting arms and glowing light. Texas pastor Josh Howerton reportedly referenced Ezekiel’s visions while discussing the footage on social media.

“What I am trying to point out is the very possible overlap between a Biblical cosmology and some of the things you’re seeing on your timeline,” Howerton said, according to the report.

The footage was reportedly gathered during separate military operations involving U.S. Central Command and the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command. Officials cautioned, however, that the videos do not confirm the nature or origin of the objects being observed.

As public fascination with UFOs grows, some Christian leaders have warned against rushing to spiritual conclusions. According to the Daily Mail, several pastors and evangelists connected recent disclosure efforts to concerns about deception and confusion surrounding spiritual truth.

Pastor Joseph Zupetz claimed there is a growing belief among some Christians that alleged extraterrestrial entities could actually be “interdimensional evil spirits, fallen angels or demons.”

Evangelist Perry Stone also warned that such revelations could shake the faith of some believers. “You’re going to have people that’s going to apostatize and turn from the Christian faith because they have no answer for what they’re about to hear,” Stone reportedly said.

For Catholics, the Church urges discernment whenever extraordinary claims emerge. Scripture warns believers not to be “carried away by every wind of doctrine” (Ephesians 4:14), while also reminding Christians that spiritual realities do exist beyond human understanding.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church teaches clearly that angels are real spiritual beings created by God, but the Church also warns against superstition, fear, and speculative obsession with the unknown.

While the newly released footage continues to fuel debate online, no official evidence has confirmed that the objects are supernatural, extraterrestrial, or connected to biblical events. For many faithful Catholics, the mystery instead serves as a reminder that Christ — not fear or fascination — must remain at the center of every conversation about the unknown.
