In a stunning turn of events, the United Nations — long regarded as a stronghold of radical gender ideology — has just published a report that pulls the curtain back on the transgender agenda, calling it a direct threat to women, children, and the very fabric of reality.
The report, authored by Reem Alsalem, the UN Special Rapporteur on violence against women and girls, affirms what Catholics, parents, and truth-tellers have been saying for years: gender ideology is dangerous, socially contagious, and destructive to the dignity of the human person.
Let that sink in: the UN now warns that the global push to blur the lines between male and female is not progress — it is oppression.
“There has been a concerted international push to delink the definition of men and women from their biological sex and erase the legal category of ‘women.’”
This is more than politics. This is an erasure of God’s design.
As Catholics, we believe that “male and female He created them” (Genesis 1:27). This isn’t a social construct. It’s divine truth. God made the sexes different and complementary for His purposes, not ours. The ideologies that seek to abolish these truths are false gospels — built on confusion, not Christ.
Alsalem’s report exposes the brutal reality behind transgender activism: the dehumanization of women, the mutilation of children, and the coercion of society to affirm a lie or face cancellation. She rightly condemns terms like “birthing persons” or “bleeders” as biologically reductive and abusive — stripping women of their dignity and turning femininity into a political inconvenience.
The report also affirms that gender dysphoria is socially contagious, particularly among girls and autistic youth. These are vulnerable children, often wrestling with deeper psychological wounds. But instead of healing, they’re offered hormone blockers, mastectomies, and castration — all under the label of “affirmation.”
This isn’t care. It’s butchery with a smiley face sticker.
Alsalem writes, “Children are not able to provide informed consent… such procedures have been found to have caused grave and lifelong harm.” Amen. Every Catholic knows that true compassion never leads someone into deeper suffering. Yet “gender-affirming care” does just that — it disconnects souls from their bodies and bodies from their God-given purpose.
The UN report even praises the UK Supreme Court for affirming the biological definition of “woman” and applauds nations like Brazil and the Netherlands for banning dangerous transitions for minors. Finally, the tide is turning. And not a moment too soon.
For too long, the transgender movement has silenced women who dare to say that biology is real, and parents who refuse to sacrifice their child on the altar of ideology. But now, from the heart of the UN itself, comes a declaration: this movement is harming our daughters, stealing their identity, and mutilating their bodies.
Alsalem doesn’t stop there. She condemns the pornography industry, which feeds into gender confusion and violence against women. She also affirms the need to protect female-only spaces, calling out the absurdity of allowing males who “identify” as women into bathrooms, prisons, and sports.
Catholics must see this as a watershed moment. The world is waking up. The truth cannot stay buried forever — not even under a mountain of political correctness. Now is the time to stand up, proclaim the Gospel of the body, and fight for the innocence of children and the dignity of women.
This report is a call to action. Let us pray it sparks reform not only in policy but in hearts. The battle is not merely legal — it is spiritual.
And truth, as always, belongs to Christ.
