A newly released annual report from Planned Parenthood has sparked renewed concern among pro-life advocates, as the organization reported a rise in abortion procedures and funding during its most recent fiscal year.
According to LifeNews, the report indicates that Planned Parenthood performed 434,450 abortions in its 2024–2025 fiscal year, an increase from the 402,230 reported the previous year. The same report shows the organization received $832 million in taxpayer funding, marking another increase compared to prior years.
Pro-life leaders responded strongly to the findings. Hugh Brown of the American Life League stated that “Planned Parenthood’s reign of death and destruction increased in 2025,” according to LifeNews. He also expressed concern over continued government funding, saying the organization “actually received a record amount of government funding last year.”

The report also highlights a significant rise in telehealth services. Katherine Van Dyke, a researcher with American Life League, noted that telehealth usage increased substantially, reaching hundreds of thousands of appointments. She warned that these services are part of a broader expansion, explaining that “we expect these numbers to increase as more facilities close and more money can be utilized to provide abortion pills and contraceptive drugs through the mailing system,” according to LifeNews.
Judie Brown, president of American Life League, also criticized both the report and its timing. She said the organization “works tirelessly to market evil and promote it under the guise of ‘healthcare,’” according to LifeNews, and urged greater scrutiny of its practices.
LifeNews reports that over the past 25 years, Planned Parenthood has performed nearly 8 million abortions while receiving more than $12.3 billion in taxpayer funding. During that same period, the organization provided significantly fewer prenatal care services, raising further concerns among pro-life advocates about priorities in women’s healthcare.
The report’s release during the Easter season has added to the reaction, as many Catholics reflect on the dignity of life and the meaning of Christ’s Resurrection. Church teaching consistently upholds the sanctity of human life from conception to natural death, calling the faithful to defend and protect the unborn.
As debate continues, pro-life organizations, including the American Life League, are renewing calls for policy changes and increased support for mothers and families. The report has once again brought the issue of abortion to the forefront of public discussion, challenging lawmakers and citizens alike to consider how best to uphold human dignity in society.
