Barack Obama once said, “We simply cannot allow people to pour into the United States undetected, undocumented, unchecked.” Hillary Clinton once bragged about voting for a barrier on the southern border. Chuck Schumer, in 2009, declared illegal immigration “wrong, plain and simple.”

Why did a party that once demanded border enforcement suddenly transform into the loudest defender of lawlessness, chaos, and unchecked migration?
